- Should I use distilled water in my batteries, and how often should I check the water level?
1A.Distilled water is recommended for maintaining the electrolyte level in lead acid batteries. The water level should be checked at least every 14 days, more often under hot and dry conditions.
- What should the tire pressure be?
2A. The tire pressure should be between 18-22 psi.
- When should I have my car serviced?
3A. An annual service by a qualified service technician is recommended under normal usage.
- How do I tell what year my golf car is?
4A. There are two locations you may find this on the vehicle. Prior to 2003 the plate is located on the passenger side of the dash panel. After 2003 it is under the seat below the access panel on the frame. It will be part of the manufacturing code. This is a typical Mfg. code below.

- What do I use to clean my windshield?
5A. First hose off the windshield to remove the dust. Then using a soft cloth and plastic cleaner/polish wipe the windshield off. Do not use windex and paper towels.
- My car does not seem too hold a charge as long as it used to. What should I check?
6A. Check the water level in the battery cells. If the water level is correct determine the age of the batteries. This is a letter number combination usually stamped into the negative post on the battery. The usual life expectancy for batteries is 3 to 4 years for well maintained batteries.
- What grade of oil does my golf car use?
7A. As a general rule use 10w30 for normal conditions. If you are using it under severe conditions us 10w40.
- How long will my car run on a full charge?
8A. The average golf car battery is rated to run continuously for 105 minutes.
This differs somewhat depending upon the terrain. The average 18 hole round of golf requires between 35 and 40 minutes of run time to complete.
- I have been away for the winter and now my car will not run and the charger is not working. What do I do?
9A. Verify that you have AC power to the wall outlet that the charger is on. Be sure that the DC plug is fully engaged in the receptacle in the car. If these two things check out please call for further information.
